"A lot of us are here because society has no further use for us, he said. "The Army has become home for a lot of restless souls who can never really go back.

Society need to take care. History shows us that disconnected soldiers come home and change things.

We may come to rue the day we chose an all volunteer military. Required military service can reduce the disconnect factor. If we become a caste system, the political caste will rule at the pleasure of the military or the military will rule directly.

I believe in a warrior class but only populated by those who have entered the system and chosen to remain. An electorate that does not appreciate and understand the military is in deep do do.
