Hello,
I went to Hungary during 4 days to take part to a symposium about light pollution.
Pictures.
We flew from Brussels to Vienna then rented a car to Kaposvar, 47 km south of Lake Balaton.
Last friday, we went for a walk in a nature reserve, or a starry park called Zselic. It was so dark at times (the trees would hide the stars) we couldn't see each other though we were barely a meter from each other! That was quite an experience! I saw a fantastic Milky Way within Cygnus at the Zenith.
What was fun was the constant change in languages; of course, it was mainly english. We made lots of friends from all over the world.
The IDA's purpose is to raise awareness about the slow loss of starry nights and also effects of light to animal's health and behaviour.
