Is it just me
or is anyone else turned off by all the slick TV ads that use professional actors and extreme emotional appeals for donations for children and animals.
Are you going to let little Conchita go to bed hungry and afraid when you could save her with 75 cents a day? Are you going to let this poor little shivering puppy die tonight or will you pledge 60 cents a day to save him?
I love children and I love animals but the ads don't reach me.
There is just something smarmy about them to me
