Usually when architects screw up, people either fall or get crushed (or both). These guys were creative, and went for roasting people instead.
I think they should run with it, and use the effect either to make popcorn, or maybe set out some big solar panels that guests could sit under and use to recharge their phone or run their laptop.
As programmers say "it's not a bug, it's a feature..."
