Look, I'd be the first to admit I don't have a good memory at all for straight-up facts. I'm a long-time space nut, and if you asked me to name the seven Mercury astronauts, I bet I couldn't finish the list. I'm a long-time political enthusiast, but if you asked me to tell you what every Constitutional amendment was about, never mind the exact text, I couldn't do it. I'm constantly mixing up the ones that are numbered in the teens, and have to recheck the number every time the subject comes up. My big problem in history classes was remembering dates.
I'm left-brained...or maybe right-brained. Whatever side is the one that has trouble remembering which characteristic belongs to which side of the brain.
Thank God nowadays I can pull up any fact I want in a matter of moments. I don't have to keep them in my head, which leaves room to actually do things with the facts.
The point is if Coons or anyone else is going to play "you don't have your facts memorized," it's legitimate to hoist them on their own petard.
And the main point, that the mainstream media is working for the Democrats, seems to stand up.
