Question:
How does the radiation from a pass through a backscatter scanner compare to the radiation exposure of flying at 35,000 feet?
I wish I had more time to research this myself so I thought I'd throw it out to the skill of the HZ regulars.
I've been told that a flight from the mainland to Hawaii is like getting a chest x-ray but have never seen the numbers. Does a backscatter scan equal an hour in a jet at altitude? Two hours? Or is it a poor comparison?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
