It is impossible to make climate extrapolations based on a few decades of data.
That has been the BIG mistake of the Chicken Littles who have been shouting about the sky falling. Of course, it could go up or down by 5 degrees C in a couple of years, and then do the reverse a couple of years later.
Climate is, and always has been, unstable. We must recognize this fact and plan our policies and actions accordingly. There is simply NO SUCH THING as "normal climate".
