I tried to get on board when Obama took office. Hell...I was damned near going to vote for him because I was so underwhelmed with McCain.
What made me turn into the Republican direction once more was the fiscal conservatism.
I am a social liberal. The two reside quite comfortably within my principles.
Something changed with Obama. He seemed so genuine...concerned about the American people, but it feels as though he became so overwhelmed with the reality of his office*, that his "A.D.D." took charge, and he lost focus. He seems to be trying to move more towards the center as of late...for myself I do not feel that is wishy washy. I feel it is high time he got real with what the country needs. I feel he was a puppet for the Democrats agenda, being pulled in every direction left of center. I think he genuinely thought he could prove how wrong the Republicans were. He allowed the pendulum to swing to far to the left. He does not make a good Leader.
*(I am like that. I start out with guns ablazin'...then fizzle because it is more involved than I realized....but I am not President.)
I now find myself just waiting, biding my time, for two more years.
I gave it the old one two...
