I'm embarrassed to tell you who I voted for.
I was in England (husband in the USAF) and the BBC news was full of violence and VietNam war protests in America. I was scared shitless that we had no country to come back to. Literally. You would not believe how foreign news handled it all. (Imagine my surprise when I returned home to find out we still had a country and the war protests were NOT going on in EVERY American city EVERY day.)
When I heard on the news that George Wallace had said if a protester laid down in front of his car, he'd run over him... Well, he got my vote. Jeez, what a disaster if that racist bastard and Fullbright had won!
