GoToAssist rocks!
I used to think this program, which allows you to control the computer of someone who needs tech support, was an expensive yearly fee, but they have a 1-day pass deal for about ten bucks.
My parents have computer hassles now and then, and I can pull their machine's screen up on mine, and fix things for them. Sorted out a Kindle issue for my Dad today. Anybody who has relatives who find themselves in deep computer water should think about this. Works on Macs and PCs, but needs broadband and relatively recent operating systems.
