Country A cuts off needed materials for production in an attempt to gain an edge on the market of these resources, so companies in Country B do some R&D to make a new product that does no need materials from Country A, thereby making their resources worth less due to less demand AND less sales in general due to the cutoff.
Well f*cking done, China. You sure know your way around economics, don'tcha? On the bright side, if they're dumb enough to continue this crap, then we won't have to see "Made in China" on all our stuff anymore.
