When someone is discussing "weakening the strong," "destroying the rich," or "tearing down big men," look carefully. The ones you have to worry about are not the strong, rich, or big. It's the ones with enough power to destroy them and the conviction that it is right to do so. Believe me, you'll be next on the list. Look at history.

"You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer." I thought this was pretty obvious. I understand Americans are being trained to believe wealth is spontaneously created, like some scientists believed atoms still appear from nothing in the spaces between the stars. All we need is wise people to pass it out to us. But believe it or not, there are wage payers in our system. They do not get a lot of respect from those whose primary job is looting them.
