You forgot the speech or link.

My feelings are that gays have a fundamental right to marry the person they love. Civil marriage definitely. If they wish a religious ceremony, that should be up to the various churches. Some would perform them, some wouldn't and I don't believe my views should be forced onto religious orders who don't believe in it.

I personally can't understand how a woman could be drawn to another woman sexually or a man to a man. But I don't have to understand it. I just have to accept that it exists. If it is morally wrong, that is between the gay persons and God. I don't make judgments for God.

Any spiritually advanced person will have realized that judgment must be abandoned. That is not our role. That is something that I still struggle with. I do well with it until I run into someone like a Rush Limbaugh who does nothing BUT judge others and he disgusts me so much I judge him. OTOH, Jesus did become angry with the moneychangers in the temple. Perhaps it is right to become angry with people like Rush Limbaugh who sully the religions to which they say they are devoted.

Aren't you sorry you asked?
