It is not conservative ideas that have gotten us here, or gotten Europe where it is.
Short-term thinking is ideas that do not extend past the next election. Obama is not trying to heal the country. He's trying to stay in power. He wouldn't be the first, and he won't be the last. He should have learned something last November. He should have listened to the groups he assigned to find solutions. He should have tried to find some new ground. Instead, he shut off his brain and went into his old leftist "community activist" mode. Class warfare, inciting mobs, attacking the successful and rewarding the failures.
A hostility to the idea of profit and furious opposition to the private sector are not compatible with economic growth. Private industry in this country is the goose laying the golden eggs, and leftists make a career out of trying to throttle it. Not just financial industries, but energy industries, transportation (the stuff that actually works), and pretty much any major endeavor where somebody might (gasp!) be successful and make lots of money. The computer industry succeeds in this country largely because the politicians haven't tried to "fix" it yet.
When the leftists are kicked out of office next year, things will start to look up.
Arguing with you involves so much deconstruction, there's almost no point.
