NOAA's DART program with GOES is very cool and hopefully will continue to help warn the public.
I see they added another ditribution map of the tsunami, this time on Google Earth. Chart 1 shows the rise level at each buoy.
On a sad note, 4 people didn't use the common sense TB suggested resulting in 1 dead after they were swept away while photographing in Crescent City, CA. Two made it back to the beach alive and the third is missing.
