BTW, rereading my previous post, I meant the dialect speakers (i.e. Bostonians) don't know how to pronounce things.
On a serious note, did you know that the Southern dialect descended from the English who were the ones who mostly settled the south? Where the y'all came from, I haven't a clue, though. :-)
