There are solutions out there. Human ingenuity is almost limitless. The key is whether or not political barriers and superstition can be overcome.
Even the article you linked says Three Mile Island "poisoned" the environment.
I also note that yes, the private sector is investing in nuclear power. Just not conventional, fifty-year-old nuclear power.
