^The best way a real class system can be truly self-perpetuating is if the myth is established that there is no class system, and those incapable of improving their condition have no one to blame but their own intrinsic inadequacy. This relieves the leadership of the society of any responsibility for leveling the playing field and encourages them to reinforce their own position.^
To put it more accurately, it relieves the political leadership of the moral sanction they need to justify the looting of the wealthy and redistribution of that wealth in return for political power. And believe me, that redistribution is the eventual goal of ALL political discussions of class warfare.
I already showed that the class barrier actually is a myth, and that's far from the only data I have. Does objectivity mean nothing here?
By the way, the concept of "intrinsic inadequacy" is a straw man. I have never said anything of the sort, nor is there is anything like that anywhere in the proper analysis of this subject. In fact, it would be hard to even define the concept in the real world. Other than someone who is actually physically or mentally seriously handicapped, who would be "intrinsically" unable to succeed?
There are many different reasons for success and failure, including sheer luck. That being said, the virtues of self-reliance, hard work, creativity, persistence, and just plain smarts (not synonymous with formal education), will - separately or in combinations - enhance one's odds.
