S'Truth
There is a lot of truth in what you say but there is also some fallacy.
The Psychologists I knew, including my sister, did not think well of Freud and did not use his techniques. As for pressure and relief valves, I can attest that those can be necessary. When I blow up, it's because of a buildup of pressure and I have to explode to get it out. The blow-ups can be cathartic. Sometimes, the blowing up is not something that can or should happen, in which case, one needs the relief valve. If they don't have it, the body can and does become physically ill.
