I'm stunned!

I'm old enough to remember watching Apollo
Saturn 5's lift off from Cape Kennedy on B&W TV.
Those 363 foot tall monsters (as large and as heavy as navy destroyers) put 12 men on the moon.

The feds spend maybe 20 billion on Project Apollo to pay for 15-16 Saturn 5 boosters

Now I'm stunned that an private individual Elon Musk,
can plan and maybe succeed in building and launching
a huge booster of 3.8 million pounds of thrust (half that of the Saturn 5) that can park 120,000Ibs in LEO, 30,000Ibs to Mars, and send men back to the moon.

Tape up your windows if you live in LA or San Francisco in 3 years! If Elon Musk's super duper rocket lifts off from Vandenberg; your windows may rattle or crack.
