Galileo Galilei was right when he stated that: "In questions of science, the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual."
As an example, I am a single individual (actually I am married, but that is a different story)🙂 and my humble reasoning is that various phenomenon that we are observing right now on our planet, such as: Warming of the ocean water, warming of the top surface of the ground/soil, melting of the glaciers, decrease of the ozone layer, increase in the number of earthquakes, and many other phenomenon that right now is attributed to variety of gasses that have been released into the atmosphere; is mainly caused by a single energy source.
Recently I looked at the web site where they list the number of earthquakes in the last 30 days; it had 1274 quakes that were over magnitude 4 and there were 63 that were over magnitude 6.
Ozone layer in arctic is lowest ever: http://www.peopleforum.cn/viewthread.php?tid=84754
