Don't tell Mme Reclus
How did you know?
I fell in love with Annete Bening the first time I saw her, in the scandalous bathtub scene as the infamous Marquise de Merteuil in Valmont.
Dangerous Liaisons (Glenn Close and John Malkovich) did a better job with the story, but Ms Bening was stunning, an absolute delight. She has the most incredibly expressive face, and the rest of her parts aren't all that bad either.
If she's representative of 18th century France, it's no wonder Franklin and Jefferson spent so much time there.
