One of my favorite toys. The "street level" interface is a bit yucky, but when it's working you can wander Paris, Rome, my old campus, or anywhere else on the planet those little cameras have been, and they've been to some surprising places. I've got bookmarks for where my kids live, my parents, my old test stand at Matagorda, and many other places. I used "Marine Traffic" a lot during the oil spill.
I do exercises. My brother sent me a photo from Italy of him standing on a balcony, and I worked out what balcony he was standing on just from the scenery (it was actually more of a walkway). Did the same for a UFO shot somewhere in France. Found out what tall building the guy was in when he took the photo.
I get cramped by a lot of places where the aerial photography is low quality (ran across this in Japan) and there are few if any "street cam" shots.
Hey, ER, you can buy floating cases for your Garmin.
