I'm at the other cusp. Dad came home from the war, promptly got Mom in the club, sister Blanche was the result. But, sadly, she was stillborn. Too bad, I would have loved having a sister.

I came as quickly as I could, I was conceived late in '46, so I'm practically at the start of the Boom, but not exactly at the cusp, as Blanche would have been. If the Boom generation is defined as having been born in 46-64, then I saw most of my cohort being born around me. I graduated from high school in 64, a few months after Kennedy was killed and just before the Beatles came to America.

The first wave of Boomers is only now approaching retirement age. My normal retirement age would normally fall during Obama's second term, but I think I was wise cashing out a little early. The way things are going, I might not get to see either. I refuse to accept any blame or credit for when I was born. I had absolutely nothing to do with it.
