There's a lot of anger
It's bad enough that she allegedly screwed up and burned those papers given the extreme fire danger. It's even worse that she lied about it and tried to pin it on someone else.
People were very pissed that someone would have so little regard for the danger as to be burning a campfire under the conditions. Now, I think the general feeling is one of shock that a Forest Service worker could be responsible and anger that she lied about the cause. Thousands of people had to leave their homes and it could be months before they can go home.
