There is a ready solution for most people
Unless you live in an unfavorable geographic location (like a valley), you probably could get DirectTV or the Dish Network. I've had DirectTV for a couple years and enjoy it, especially the part where I get to tell Adelphia where they can stick their crappy cable service.
