Watch me pull an issue out of my hat! This time for sure, Rocky!

Democrats may think they finally have a link, however tenuous, connecting Bush to corporate corruption as they have been trying to do since Enron. Good luck to them...they'll need it. Other than bashing Republicans, the Democrats have nothing to run on at all.

The Democratic objective right now, with the full cooperation of their media toadies, is twofold:

- Make sure the economy stays in the tank until November. Keep pounding on the front page about the horrible corporations and how no one trusts the private sector any more. And for God's sake, keep that stock market down.

- Somehow make Bush to blame for it. This has not worked as well as they hoped so far. The economic downturn started before Bush was elected, and although valiant attempts have been made to link the downturn to the tax cut, the fact that a vast majority of the cut has not yet occurred kind of throws a damper on that one too.

We are now being treated to a bunch of corporate leaders running their outfits using the exact same methodology and moral code as Bill Clinton ran his administration, i.e. anything is okay if you don't get caught. Democrats hope that no one will notice this, nor that most of the financial fun and games were going on while Clinton was President.
