It's easier for conservatives.
On political issues -
"No one told me!" ("I didn't know!", which can be justifiably interpreted to mean "I'm dumb as two sticks, you know that, too, so don't expect anything from me!") And/or
"Clinton is responsible!" (They NEVER get tired of this one. What it means is the poor guy is not only dumb but powerless.)
On financial issues -
"The economy is good, the wealthy deserve their money back!", or
"The economy is bad, the wealthy need their money back!"
