Assuming I parsed your post correctly:
A $20,000 a year janitor pays about $1700 in taxes, but he does get the same vote I do on what gets done with my taxes, which last year were more than his whole goddam salary.
The moral code that states that because someone has more than you do, you should get to take it from them, should be examined more closely. It's the same as the code of the guy who holds you up at the ATM at midnight. This is not a coincidence.
I should point out I started out pushing a broom too, and for one hell of a lot less than $20,000 a year. I decided I wanted to make more, and I did. I already live in a country where that is possible. A hell of a lot of millionaires started out pushing brooms, or the equivalent.
Many liberals seem to believe that those who are wealthy must have done something wrong to get it, or in some way do not deserve to have it. This accomplishes two useful things: it gives them the moral authority to take the wealth from them, and it also gives them some comfort that their own moral superiority is the major reason they're sitting around eating macaroni and cheese in an efficiency apartment with their lovely political science masters degree hanging on the wall.
