The department took half a day off yesterday to see the latest Austin Powers flick.
Slapstick at its nastiest. Survivable. A couple of good chuckles.
I liked that Michael Caine was in it as Austin's father, and I especially liked his high tech car -- a mini with a kick.
Mike Myers, as Austin Powers: “Your car's a mini.”
Michael Caine, as Nigel Powers: “It's not the size, mate -- it's how you use it.”
X^D
If you need a sci-fi tie-in, it involves a tractor beam, and a solid gold asteroid.
All in all, a truly bad flick, well worth the $3.50 ticket.
Cheers,
Dan

Nigel Powers: “There are two things I despise: people who are completely intolerant of other cultures; and the Dutch.”
