I got dragged to that by my kids, who begged and pleaded to see it over my reservations. Had I previewed it first, I probably wouldn't have let them go. There were a few funny bits, but most of it was just embarrassing ten-year-old humor mixed with stuff that no ten-year-old should hear. And not even good ten-year-old humor--I speak as a well-known connosseur of fart jokes.

Gonna take them to "Powerpuff Girls" tomorrow, which is a lot better than it sounds, and a hell of a lot less sleazy than Goldmember.

Never mind..."Lord of the Rings" is in the mail from Amazon, and soon all will be right with the world. Also got paid yesterday, and splurged on all six DVDs of "Cowboy Bebop," an anime SF classic series I just discovered on TV a few months ago, and is one of the best SF things I've seen since Babylon 5.
