Hi Lindy

Last year I drove by the local county search and rescue garage late in the evening. The garage door windows are blacked out but on this night the door was open far enough to see an armored personnel carrier (Turret and big gun) and a black helicopter!

Now this is a bit much even for a levelheaded individual such as myself. So after asking around I found that this surplus hardware had been previously explained to have no sinister purpose.

The APC is due to replace aging howitzers in the mountain passes for avalanche control. The helicopter is supposed to be a spare parts rig for the County’s rescue helicopter.

See, nothing to worry about!

PS The helicopter I saw was a small black scorpion -the county rescue helicopter is a Huey.
