to have a new toy. When I was TDY to Lowry AFB (now closed) back in 1986 for some training, there was a very cute little A-4 Skyhawk parked in front of the Marine barracks. It appeared to be one of the early models, perhaps an A-4B or perhaps a D model. Man, I was tempted to swipe that plane! It would've made a great restoration project and would've been a ball to fly for as long as I could keep it under control. It would've been a great toy, but perhaps the world's most elaborate form of suicide.
