Re: I'm using Truespace 2.0 on a Celeron 500 MHz
My animation of a single sphere with a texture map on its surface was composed of 80 frames, and each took on average 4 seconds to render, while the completed animation was only a couple seconds long. I don't recall if I was using ray-tracing or not, but there are a few rendering options that can really bog down a computer. Adding more objects to the scene might be one of the things that bogs it down. I don't know because I'm a rookie.
