<Big time chicanery.
"Sept. 17 — The Bush administration has begun a broad restructuring of the scientific advisory committees that guide federal policy in areas such as patients’ rights and public health, eliminating some committees that were coming to conclusions at odds with the president’s views and in other cases replacing members with handpicked choices."
Takes you back to the good old days, doesn’t it? Like Stalin’s view of genetics. He found a "scientist", Lysenko I believe, who started at what Stalin wanted to believe and had “science” create it, or at least write the reports. Mao did a very similar thing.
AND NOW, IN LABS AND CONFERNCE ROOMS NEAR YOU,
The US is starting with what Bush wants to believe, and installing the scientists who will create the “science”. In this case it’s not genetics, it’s dividends.
Arf (Lessee – “These are bureaucrats, not scientists, and it’s only fair they work for The Man.” (even committee members?))
Science sought to match Bush views
