How the heck can you screw up this badly?
Man adrift in a sailboat for three and a half months, found off Costa Rica (!), after an attempted trip from Long Beach to Catalina. How the hell can you drift so badly that after busting your boat between Long Beach and Catalina, you manage to stay at sea--drifting--for three and half months? I would think you would actually have to work not to be driven ashore somewhere along the coast long before you got as far south as Costa Rica.
This does not pass my smell test. Any sailing experts out there care to comment?
