Re:thesis antithesis- synthesis
The Taliban forced the Muslims to go through introspection. I remember Al Jazeera TV inviting religious scholars (muslims) being invited to discuss extrmes like the Taliban regime. The Taliban destroyed statues, which greatly offended all the other Muslims. True, it's not the woman's condition that offended them as much. At least, there were discussions going on about the merit of this or that aspect of Islam. Thesis-antithesis synthesis.
