"Just because we're anti-Israel doesn't mean we're anti-Semitic."
I hear this argument from Arabs and their supporters in the Middle East and elsewhere almost as much as I hear the inane "Marxism is just an economic system" argument from American liberals.
Well, if the Arabs aren't actually anti-Semitic, maybe we ought to be seeing a little less officially-sanctioned stuff like this.
Mr. Sobhi declined to be interviewed, but earlier this year he told Al Jazeera television that whether or not the "Protocols" was authentic, "Zionism exists and it has controlled the world since the dawn of history."
Apparently the Zionist Planetary Rulers were sleeping in or otherwise occupied as millions of Jews were massacred during the Holocaust, and persecuted pretty much everywhere else.
You could fill pages with obviously anti-Semitic crap out of the Arab world. They're not kidding anyone. Arab nations that behave just like Israel is supposed to be behaving--militaristic, racist, expansionist, oppressing minority populations, etc.--get almost no notice from other Arabs whatsoever. What other reason for the hatred except that they are Jewish?
"Where do you get off calling us anti-Semitic?"
