Israel is a sovereign nation. Judaism is a religion.

Israel has a foreign policy. Judaism does not have a foreign policy.

Israel has a civil government. Judaism does not.

Israel has national territory. Judaism does not.

Israel is a member of the UN. Judaism is not.

Israel has a STATE religion. Israel is the State - Judaism is the religion.

People who can't understand the distinction between a sovereign nation and a religion won't understand the difference between political systems - called "political" - and economic systems - called "economic" - either.

And, all one can do is try. If they can't learn, they can't learn. Lay the info at their feet, and see if the pick it up and play with it, or just kick.
