There was this guy who was reading
the classified adds in his local paper.
One of the adds caught his eye; it read:
"WANTED: A volunteer required to undergo a week of sleep depravation
under laboratory conditions. Perks include 'all the coffee you can drink, all the TV you want to watch', and you
will be awarded 1000 dollars upon completion of the study."
The guy said, "GREAT! I'll get 1000 dollars just to be a lab-rat and go without sleep for a week? NO PROBLEM!"
So, next day, he applied and was approved. Several days later, he
began his role as a human lab-rat.
The first night without sleep, there were no real problems.
The second night was tougher.
The third night without sleep was
brutal.
The fourth night without sleep, he started to hallucinate.
Finally, after seven nights without
sleep, he came out of the lab "babbling incoherently; speaking gibberish and uttering nonsense."
Do you know what happened to the guy?
ANSWER: He entered politics.
