Hillary - Bush was "selected".
Don't like the woman, but every once in a while a blind hog can find an acorn. So much for the "elected" issue. Bush wasn't. AND he is President, because Americans who aren't politcians are generally law-abiding.
But Bush wasn't "elected" in any sense, except by the Supreme Court. The majority of elegible voters wanted Gore, the majority of eligible Floridians wanted Gore.
Similar to that German leader prior to WWII, who gained office with a minority vote, too, then turned right. Took away civil rights, started militarily threatening smaller countries, that sort of thing.
