If we pay attention to how they've done this recently, the US Armed Forces will just stand off and bomb indiscriminately, including civilians, hoping they will overthrow the government. The "collateral damage" will be horrendous, and the responsibility of Iraqi officials who happen to have their forces stationed around the country.
Remember Milosevic? (I think most folks could agree the "smart" weapons used on plastic sheets thrown across rivers to resemble bridges and a building resembling a Chinese Embassy was amusing . I guess they are only as "smart" as the information from which they operate.)
And the "collateral damage" is never the fault of the folks who drop the bombs. In "newspeak" it is the fault of the people on whom the bombs are dropped. Go figure!
However, in Iraq troops will have to be on the ground and may be killed to some small extent to make it safe for Halliburton people. Slightly different situation.
So some small portion of the oil could be used to rebuild the country destroyed to steal the oil. And some larger portion of the oil can be used to repay the country who had to spend money destroying the country. And the rest is, guess what? Profit!!!
Arf (by the way, killing civilians hoping they will overthrow their government is a definition of "terrorism" - kinda like the US and Kosovo)
