These days it comes in a can, for a number of reasons:

- cans can be crushed, and weigh less
- aluminum is easier to recycle than glass
- more efficient packing
- cans are cheaper
- cans can be silkscreened
- less prone to breakage during shipping

Today however, looks like bottles might be making a comeback, but they're plastic!
