A lesson for you. Free.

Because one of us is a nice guy, I'm going to show you how to discuss an issue without an “ad hominem” attack. Almost.

Larry J. – “This is truly bizarre. George Bush, extremist?”

“The other alleged parts of his agenda--the environmental rape, the imposition of theocracy, the abolition of civil liberties (Moyers: "secrecy on a scale you cannot imagine")--are nothing but the delusion of liberals made quite mad by defeat.”

I can understand that oil and mining company profits are more important to Republicans than the environment, that civil liberties are pesky little things which get in the way of THE RIGHT, and that privacy is a nuisance for a regime hell-bent upon complete domination.

It's in the great pattern of domination. The first thing any regime hoping to be totalitarian does is to limit and then get rid of civil liberties, and then privacy. They get rid of the liberals, imprison people without legal representation for unlimited duration, and urge folks to spy on each other.

And liberals tend to resent infringement upon civil liberties. We like privacy for everyone, not just gun owners, and sort of like the environment to be a nice place for people. No sense taking a dividend to buy a water filter if one could have had clean water to begin with. And, it’s better for kids. Now who could be against that, unless it was a conservative selling out the welfare of people for their dividends.

Arf (he won’t appreciate it – but one has to try. Snort!!)
