I've changed my mind.

I used to have no respect for those people who protested the war to avoid the draft, but upon reflection why SHOULDN'T someone protest being drafted to go fight and possibly die simply for the pride of a President. Not for "freedom", not for "honor", but just because some President doesn't want to be the first to "lose" a war.

That, to my mind, was more honorable than Clinton dodging the draft and Bush going AWOL as the privileged son of a politician.

Not only do I sort of agree with that, but think it was probably an obligation to demonstrate if that was one's belief. And avoiding a draft into that war is probably a super reason.

Ali, Cassius Clay at the time, was the greatest, though. He da man!!! I didn't realize that at the time, but suspected it.
