At least a good number of vicitims of the lwyer raid of absestosis had no way to know that what they were doing could have harmed anyone.
If pools of money had been set up, a la black lung, those who actually did get sick (a much much smaller pool than those who are suiing) could have been treated much better than they have been.
Instead 30% - 50% has been absorbed feeding the lawyers.
The government specified asbestosis for decades.
Yet bore no responsibility at all.
