That was a hoot, wasn't it? Genuine Berkeley-speak, with that distinctive "South Berkeley" accent. I don't really think anybody takes Berkeley seriously any more...I think of it as a theme park, sort of a permanent historical reenactment of the 60s.
As for the possible interpretation of the post as being threatening, I'd say it's not. What came to mind right away was a comparison to SDAI-Tech1's wish-fulfillment pieces (but of opposite polarity).
