These are kids. They don't make free and intelligent choices. They tend to adopt the ideas respected adults plant in their heads. To use these kids as political cannon fodder, which is the point of this, is obscene. In addition, only one set of ideas is being presented, in schools that are taxpayer funded government monopolies, where children are mandated to attend under force of law.
Under these circumstances, where no real intellectual defense is possible, a little balance might be nice.
The fact that the ideas are left-wing socialist crap is beside the point. But heck, if we go by your post, you wouldn't mind cigarettes being advertised to children. They can decide these things for themselves, right?
It's worth pointing out that the Left has no qualms whatsoever in suppressing ideas that go against their own agenda, sometimes forcefully, and do so practically every chance they get. The mayor of Berkeley is only the latest example of this. Incidentally, like most leftists, he is getting a complete pass on this, being fined $250 for an infraction, and ignored by most of the media. He apologized for what the media dubs a "Controversial Campaign Tactic." All is forgiven.
No one even thought of asking him to resign.
