Remember, somebody simply declaring something an absolute doesn't make it one. But reason and observation can usually come up with a number of fairly decent absolutes--something that is true regardless of where you are, who you are, or what your culture is--without trying very hard. And I'm talking human behavior, not the physical world which is jam-packed with absolutes.
