I commented on a column like this already. The two columns are almost copies of each other. Sent a version of the comments to my paper too.
We SIGNED a goddam pact with North Korea, and they wiped their asses with it. Get a clue.
The leader of North Korea is insane. Get another clue. The man never even blinks. You can't appease him. You can't appeal to his self interest. Guess what: you don't want Charles Manson living in the house next door no matter how nicely you treat him or how much you try to avoid annoying him.
I'm also a little sick of butt-ignorant journalists*--who couldn't tell you what a neutron was, how a rocket works, or probably even the chemical formula for table salt if you jammed burning bamboo splinters under their fingernails--deciding the feasibility of missile defense. Even if its flawed, a defense that works only one time in five is better than no defense at all, and the longer we work on it, the better it will work.
And isn't it amazing how we never heard the newly favored term "chickenhawk" from these guys for eight years while Clinton was deploying armed forces across the entire planet?
*Why the hell do you think they ended up in journalism school?
